Oceanside Coastal Rail Trail - Schedule & Budget

The Oceanside Coastal Rail Trail project cost $2.45 million. Close to $650,000 was spent on surveying, mapping, project design, utility coordination, environmental, administration, public outreach, permit fees, construction management, and inspection fees. Construction costs totaled $1.8 million.

The design plans for the project were finalized in summer 2012. Advertisement for construction took place in fall 2012, and construction was completed in spring 2014.

About $1.52 million came from the federal Transportation Enhancements program. Another $931,000 came from TransNet, the regional half-cent sales tax for transportation.
