Schedule
The SR 15 Commuter Bikeway received environmental clearance in June 2012. The design was finalized in early 2015, and construction began in March 2016. The bikeway opened in August 2017.
Budget
The total cost of the bikeway was approximately $15.6 million. The environmental and design phases were funded by the regional TransNet half-cent sales tax for transportation administered by SANDAG. Construction was funded by federal, Caltrans Active Transportation Program, and local TransNet funds.
