NEW: Traffic and Safety Impact Assessment Published June 5, 2019
SANDAG published a Traffic and Safety Impact Assessment for the project on June 5, 2019. Preparation of this assessment is required before the SANDAG Board of Directors can make a determination that the proposed project is exempt from CEQA under Public Resources Code Section 21080.20.5.

SANDAG hosted an open house and public hearing for the project on June 20, 2019, where attendees were invited to learn more about the project and provide written and verbal comments. As part of the project’s environmental review process, written responses to the written and verbal comments received at the June 20, 2019 open house and public hearing were provided to the SANDAG Transportation Committee, which approved the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) exemption for the project at its July 19, 2019, meeting. Please see Agenda Item #4 beginning on page 9. The CEQA exemption for the Orange Bikeway project was subsequently approved by the SANDAG Board of Directors at its July 26, 2019, meeting. Please see Agenda Item #7 beginning on page 44.

Postcards in English and en Español were mailed to more than 6,000 home owners, residents, and businesses along the project corridor providing notice for the Open House and Public Hearing during the week of June 3, 2019.
