I-805 South Express Lanes Project

I-805 South Phase 1 was completed in 2017 and Phase 2 sound wall construction and bridge safety improvements are currently underway. Additional projects in Phase 2 will be completed as funding becomes available. The project will cost an estimated $1.1 billion to complete. 

I-805 North Express Lanes Project

The project will be completed in five stages. Stage 1 was completed in 2016. Stages 2-5 will be completed as funding becomes available. The project will cost an estimated $587 million.

 

Funding for these projects is expected to come from a combination of federal, state, and local programs, including TransNet, the regional half-cent sales tax for transportation administered by SANDAG. For more detailed schedule and budget information, please visit:
