1. Are there any plans to allow buses on the freeway? A lane for buses only?

The project will accommodate Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) from I-5/I-805 Merge to Manchester Avenue. The BRT will run north along El Camino Real.

2. Where will the Direct Access Ramps (DARs) be located?

DARs are proposed at Lusk Blvd. and Voigt Drive in the City of San Diego, Manchester Avenue in the City of Encinitas, Cannon Road in the City of Carlsbad, and Oceanside Blvd. in the City of Oceanside.

3. Are there plans for more bike trails and/or hiking trails?

Caltrans is working with each city to facilitate their implementation plans for biking & hiking trails across and parallel to the freeway.

4. Is transit station parking planned?

Transit stations are not part of the scope of the project. The project will accommodate a future transit station at the Manchester DAR.
