Major Closure for I-805 Completed

The East Palomar Street Bridge has been demolished and work is now complete. Thank you for steering clear, San Diego! 

I-805 was closed 7 miles in both directions between SR 54 and SR 905 from Sunday, August 18 at 3 p.m. to Monday, August 19 at 5 a.m. The closure was needed so crews could demolish the East Palomar Street Bridge to make way for a new direct access ramp (DAR). The DAR will offer a convenient way for carpoolers and transit to enter the Express Lanes currently under construction on I-805 and access the future East Palomar Transit Station and Park & Ride.
