The Caltrans and SANDAG North Coast Corridor (NCC) Program is a $6 billion, 40-year balanced set of transportation, environmental, and coastal access projects to improve the quality of life for residents, create a stronger local and regional economy for the future, and enhance the coastal environment. As part of the program’s environmental preservation efforts, and in partnership with the San Dieguito River Park Joint Powers Authority (SDRPJPA), the San Dieguito Lagoon Wetland Restoration Project Phase II will see the establishment of coastal salt marsh wetlands and associated habitats within the lagoon with funding available from regional TransNet revenue.
