The Poway Road/Rancho Peñasquitos Boulevard bridge over I-15 will be closed
today beginning at 7 p.m. and reopening at 5 a.m. Motorists traveling west
on Poway Road will be detoured north on I-15 to west on State Route 56 to
south on I-15 onto westbound Rancho Peñasquitos Boulevard. Motorists
traveling east on Rancho Peñasquitos Boulevard will be detoured south on
I-15 to east on Mercy Road to north on I-15 onto eastbound Poway Road.
Detour signs will be in place to direct motorists.
The following closures will be in effect from Thursday evening (03/11)
through Friday morning (03/12). These closures are expected to be placed
beginning at 9 p.m. and picked up by 5 a.m. or earlier Friday.
Ramps:
1. I-15 NB Off ramp to Mira Mesa Blvd -- K rail removal
2. I-15 NB On ramp from EB Mira Mesa Blvd -- K rail removal
3. I-15 NB On ramp from WB Mira Mesa Blvd -- K rail removal
4. I-15 NB Off ramp to Citracado Pkwy / Felicita Rd -- Concrete
paving
5. I-15 NB On ramp from Citracado Pkwy / Felicita Rd -- Concrete
paving
6. I-15 SB On ramp from EB SR 78 -- Road work (Detour will be posted)
7. I-15 SB On ramp from Valley Pkwy -- Road work
8. I-15 SB Off ramp to 9th Ave / Auto Park Way -- Road work
9. I-15 SB On from Mercy Rd / Scripps Poway Pkwy* -- Equipment move
10. I-15 SB Off ramp to Mira Mesa Blvd* -- K rail removal
11. I-15 SB On ramp from WB Mira Mesa Blvd* -- K rail removal
12. I-15 SB On ramp from EB Mira Mesa Blvd* -- K rail removal
13. I-15 SB Off ramp to Carroll Canyon Rd* -- K rail removal

1. I-15 NB Partial lanes from Carroll Canyon Rd to Carmel Mountain Rd --
K rail removal and Striping work
2. I-15 NB Partial lanes from Centre City Pkwy to 9th Ave / Auto Park
Way -- Concrete Paving
3. I-15 SB Partial lanes from Jct SR 78 to 9th Ave / Auto Park Way to
Citracado Pkwy -- Road work
4. I-15 SB Partial lanes from Carmel Mountain Rd to Jct SR 163 --
Bridge work, Equipment move, Striping work and K rail removal
Bike Lane:
1. The bike lane along southbound I-15 will be detoured between Centre
City Parkway and Via Rancho Parkway through the end of June 2010.
Detour signs will be posted to alert motorists and bicyclists of
the closure.
Our contractor will place signs to assist motorists through the closures.
As always, weather (rain/fog etc.) plays a role in the implementation of
planned traffic closures. Please contact me should you have any questions
